About Me Lezanri...
I’m a registered Specialist Wellness Counsellor with the ASCHP. Which means that I have completed my Honors degree in Psychology worked as an Intern for Humanitas where I had the opportunity to work with NPO’s such as the Hospice and the National Center of Child Protection to gain experiences and to learn more about myself.
My passion in life is serving people, by walking alongside, them towards healing. As we a living within a society that praises perfectionism and scolds rest! This is seen throughout our daily life. By being the perfect partner, the perfect parent, the perfect child, and most of all being the perfect employee. Even through a traumatic event, crisis, and/or loss.
I’m truly invested in the human experiences as a whole with my counselling approach being person-centered. As such, I could then be viewed as your own personal trainer for your brain. Being authentically you, however, seen as a cliché one should consider the wise words Lauren Fogel Mersy:
“Being able to be your true self is one of the strongest components of good mental health.”
This at its core this relates in my view to the human connection – I’m passionate about relationships with my core interest being the family structure. I’m also a strong advocate for pre-marital as well as marital counselling as I understand it to be the foundation of the family structure.
Other areas of passion include crisis intervention (including addiction but not limited to), trauma, anticipated loss, and palliative services (for the patient as well as family). As these experiences are universal.
I’m so excited to begin this journey along side you!
